Default Will carbotech xp10 be too much?

Going to track for first time next month and not sure if I maybe order too aggressive a pad. After researching I went xp10/xp8. I am currently on michellin pilot sport as3 which aren't really a great tire but they have a fair amount of tread in rear (5/32) and fronts are brand new (bought the car used so didn't have a choice in tire). I plan to replace the fronts when the rear wear. My concern is will the xp10 be way too aggressive for these tires and I should have went xp8 all around and get xp10 later when I get some v12/s04 etc tires? I never plan on owning a second set of wheels with r comps but something in the summer/all season max/ultra performance class will be my next set. Will I be able to manage with xp10 on this tire for now or is it just too much?
