Nissan 370Z Forum - View Single Post - Any experience updating Firmware from Infinity to Nissan Navi?

Hey guys,
As some of you know I upgraded my Navigation system from an 09 to a 2010/2011 system which has all the belts and whistles plus a considerably better screen resolution.
My only issue with this is that I grabbed the navi off a 2010/2011 G37 and when I start the car the screen says "Infinity" which isn't a big deal but it annoys me a little. So I want to upgrade the firmware to Nissan so I get the most up to date software for it with all the bugs fixed and all plus the Infinity logo gone.
Has anybody done this or something like this before?
I took the car to the dealership and they were too afraid to do it and said the usual "it can't be done". Though I'm thinking it can be done as the same part can be used for a Nissan or an Infinity.
Would the upgrade wreck my navi unit? will it work just fine?
