best to have a pro do it, you won't know if you need shims until you crack it open and attempt the install

you'll get a huge price break if you drop the pumpkin yourself and bring it into whichever shop you're using. i think i paid $250 for a quaife installation by dropping the diff myself and bringing in the parts
