Default Front Camber Problem (SPC Arms, HKS Coilovers)

Hi all,

I did a search and looked through a bunch of threads, but couldn't find anyone running in to this specific problem (most articles are about guys who don't have arms, or about rear alignment problems).

Last weekend we put coilovers on my brother's Z, along with that we had the needed camber arms for front and rear from SPC.

The rear aligned fine. However, our alignment guy, long time friend and generally great mechanic, couldn't get the fronts to align at anything less than 2.5*. We were hoping to be closer to the 1.5-2* mark (I know 2.5* is ok as a somewhat aggressive camber setting, but we are concerned about tire wear in this case).

We set the coilovers within the parameters listed in the HKS manual for spring and thread length. We didn't do an extreme lower, about an inch.

I haven't had a chance to crawl back under there to do a thorough check. However, after a quick check I didn't see anything out of place. The balljoint is definitely maxed out to the outer edge.

The only thought I had was that I reversed the arms. However, I was careful to look for the RH/LH stamp before starting. It's possible after a few beers I messed up, but it seems unlikely (we will be taking a closer look this evening).

So anyway, I am reaching out to you guys hoping that you might be able to give me more ideas on what to check. Thoughts? Advice? Jokes?
