I remember taking the ex wife to test drive the Mazda 3s. She wanted a stick and we took it out on the test drive. I'm in the back, while my ex and sales guy is up front. When my wife was in the middle of the test drive she said... I don't know? It doesn't have a lot of power.

Sales guy said... "You might want to drive it spirited. My wife got on the gas but just didn't shifting at the right points to wake the car up I guess? Well the salesguy tells her pull over.... They switch and he drove!!! I was like... Wow! This thing is out...

I test drove the Rx8 and for street driving. It's power level wasn't horrible. I was able to hit the right shift points and ring a torquey feel though down on torque on paper.

I've driven the Cx7 & current Cx9 and I really wouldn't want to drive another crossover performance wise. They feel like sports cars...

But to each his own.
