I left the tweeters in the dash, replaced the doors speakers, added the 10" sub, an amp and new head unit. The head unit pushes the door and dash speakers and the amp runs the sub.

I wasn't looking to blow the doors off, just looking for better sound than the stock junk that was in the car. Everything sounds so much better it's night and day.

A lot will depend on what kind of sound you want and how much you're looking to spend.
