At a cold start up your car will automatically give a little more gas and will slowly idle down. That is completely normal.

BTW, cars don't like to be beat at a cold start. That goes for any make/model. On hot days you can get away with driving easy at low rpm until you are up to running temp. On cold days, give your car a couple minutes to warm up a little and then ease into it until your are at running temp.

A remote start helps the process.
