The main variable is the tuner. That being said, the general consensus seems to be swinging towards Ecutek for having a bit more in the software for the tuner to manipulate. Several forum members have threads documenting their swap from Uprev to Ecutek and their reasoning. Try searching

I think Uprev's biggest pro at this point is that you can tune it yourself if you want. Ecutek does not offer that option.
