So Saturday was fun. Got out there and set up the easy up, a wheel display stand with some Vorsteiners on it and brought a few helmets, shirts and tons of stickers, plate frames, water and chips to hand out. The temps were warm but not unbearable at all. The crowd was much smaller than Race Wars but then again there was no car show, which meant no skanky girls half dressed walking around looking like a poster child for STDs. This also meant the local guy who has a vette with literally porn airbrushed all over it (so classy) wasn't there getting kicked out because of his paint job. What was suprising is the number of modern day american muscle cars out there. Vettes, Mustangs, Camaros and Challengers came out in strong numbers. Next was the GTRs, there were many. After that Porsche showed up and among them one recorded the fastest trap speed I saw all day which was 205 in the 1/2 mile. It was snap, crackle and pop all the way down the runway and it was just struggling for traction.

The wind picked up and knocked our easy up into the wheel stand which sent it tipping over. Two Vorsteiner wheels took the bullet and the whole stand missed the McLaren by inches. I got to take a ride in the McLaren down the half mile and it goes by much faster when you're in the car than when you are just watching it go. We hit trap speeds of mid 150's consistently but the new owner of our old project 991 turbo came out and spanked the project McLaren by about 4 car lengths. Not sure if McLaren lost or seller lets buyer win to keep him happy about his purchase! LOL

Anyway check out the blog, we had a 360 camera in the McLaren so you can scroll around the cabin and out the front windshield:
