It's all personal preference with tires as far as brand, size, and grip. As for the general idea of having new tires. It is better than not having new tires.

You don't have to go buy the most expensive tires out there, you should be looking into some tires that get the job done for selling the Z. Not only that, new tires are new tires regardless haha.

Once the tires you put on there wear down, the new owner will have had it for a while, depending on where in the country it goes to, and after them having the car for a while then they can put whatever tires they want on there.
