I don't mind cheap/fake looking effects. Too many movies nowadays seem to be rehashes of things we've seen before with better graphics. Same goes for video games. How can you not like the goonies though!!!!

The remakes today are quite a bit better. I really liked the new
Star Trek movies. The original shows, etc.... meh. I could watch, but it was cheesy.
I'm looking forward to the new
Star Wars though, with todays technology for graphics.
I will say I loved the original
Star Wars though.
