I think it's a bandaid, but it might help especially on a newer model. Our CSC has a plastic bushing or something. I think with the extreme heat that our clutch fluid gets to on track, that it eventually causes the plastic to fail/deteriorate prematurely.

So if your seal were in good shape, then yeah a nice reroute and thermal protection will save you a costly CSC upgrade later on. But if the plastic is already deteriorated, then this would be just a "nice to have".

Would also be "something to do" while you are replacing our crappy csc with your expensive replcacement.
