Unexpected deliveries are the best. Especially if you are willing to pay for them. I know a contractor who once paid for 3 yards of pea gravel delivered to his neighbor's driveway. Told the delivery guy to just dump it there since he wouldn't be home
Other things like food are always good. Try to get three or more delivery drivers from different places to show up at the same time
