The issue with any device is the sample rate of the sensors.

I run a data logger with a 10HZ GPS. I *think if I tried to measure 0-60 time I would have to allow for it being a tenth off at start and another tenth at the 60 mph mark.

I also use an OBD II device, but that thing only samples twice per second in the Z. I ran it in someone else's car and the sample rate was much higher.

The Wireless Auto Cross Timing Package listed above will give you good time for distance covered but it has no idea what speed you are traveling at any given moment.
