Here's what I foresee: if you're going FI down the road, you're going to want beefier brakes. I upgraded and it definitely is a bang for the buck. And yes, don't make the mistake of NOT getting the shorter banjo bolts as I did because I stripped a caliper threading.
As for forking over a grand for red calipers, it'll still be cheaper to get the Z1 Motorsports Akebono brake package in which you'll also receive rotors, pads, AND red calipers if you opt for them.
