I cant tell you which is the inlet and which is the outlet, or if it even matters aside from the obvious difference in size of the ports.

You will have to make custom AN hoses to plumb it into your return line. It probably uses standard 3/8 and 5/16 QD fuel adapters. Maybe its 5/16 and 1/4, I cant tell from the pictures, but I doubt it... rarely anyone messes with a 1/4" fuel return pipe anymore.

Return pressure can reach pressures up to rail pressure, which is why you drill out the venturi when upgrading the fuel pump.
