It's been stated the hatch issue is related to outside temperature, and I'm inclined to agree. It happened to me for the first time yesterday, and it was the first time the temps have been below 40.

I also did this: I pressed the switch, the hatch opened slightly...I pushed down slightly on the hatch, pressed the switch again and, voilà, it opened right up.
