Me too.. I never doubted the Z35 would get turbo or get 400hp. Some guys here are real excited about a 400hp Z with electric motor. I don't believe the v6 turbo will be seeing hybrid tech... It will be the 2.0 turbo 211hp engine that will probably see a 40-70hp boost from a electric motor. I'm speculating the base car will have a total power estimate of 252-275hp. I really hope this hybrid will live between 2600-2900lbs to really be worth buying. Otherwise a 400hp 3,000lb Z would be perfect!! Now that we're clear on engines... Weight will be everything... If a 400 hp twin-turbo Z comes to fruition? The muscle cars won't survive. T he new Z will be the GT-R of the sub $50,000 world. Hopefully? It will be better than muscle and right behind a corvette stingray. That's where the Z should rest.
The hybrid Z should be able to demolish FR-S/BRZ. Outperform the focus ST and slot under the focus RS. Probably be on par with a 3.8 genesis coupe on paper but with more refinement and accuracy.
