Sorry man,I have no experience on the subject,but I would have to say that test pipes are the way to go for loudness. All the resonaters do is get rid of the rasp which in turn tones the volume down. I think with resonated test pipes you will get more of a deep tone (which I would go for personally) hope someone with more experience can help you out.
