I checked all the fuses last night, seems to be all good. I need to figure out where the connector is for the cluster/gauges so i can see if its been knocked off.

but now that i think about it. the day before, I replaced the serpentine belt, the old belt actually partially ripped while i was driving it(but i was able to drive it home) and ripped threw some of the, I believe alternator wire cover(which exposed the actual wires a bit). After replacing the belt, i unplugged 2 connectors underneath the alternator to tape the exposed wires up and plugged them back in.

After replacing it, I drove it around for about 3 miles and gauges were all working, next day is when i removed and sold the subs/amps, thats when i noticed gauges werent working.

I drove it around my house last night, just to see if it magically turns on, but the only light thats on during driving is the KEY light(left of the temp gauge). headlights, turn signals, radio they all work.

Would the alternator or anything around it have anything to do with the cluster/gauges?

EDIT: forgot to mention, the car starts up fine. but to turn off the car, i have to hold down the start button until it turns off(3sec) and another weird thing is that the other day when i was messing around trying to figure out the issue, i started it up and off and then i tried starting it again but nothing. didnt start up. thought it was the battery but i know the battery is fairly new, so i check from autozone, battery rated voltage at 12V. they charged it 100%. plugged the battery back in the next day and vuala, it started(but gauges/cluster still not working).
