Default 'Chirp' when shifting into 5th gear?

I've noticed I'm getting a 'chirp' noise whenever I shift into 5th gear (stick shift). Doesn't happen on any other shift. There's no difficulty in shifting; I don't think it's inside the gearbox. My guess is a bushing or joint or whatever on the shift linkage doesn't have enough grease and I'm getting metal to metal contact. Car's under warranty so I was planning on taking it in, but if it was an easy fix (smearing grease on something) I figure'd I'd just do it myself. Has anyone heard of this before?
