Bro, first and foremost, I am glad you were able to walk away from that horrific incident. That other person should be locked up for a long time for what they did to you and I applaude you for dealing with it the way you are. Also, still being relatively young and able to recognize that buying a 370 can put you in a financial position that could go south quick, is a good thing.
Now, you don't have to be ashamed about driving a "beater" for a year or so, to get your life and finances in a good position. Before I got married, I sold my cherished Evo IX and bought a beater to save for the wedding. I only spent 3k on a Honda Del Sol and drove it until I got married. It was crappy, but did have 202whp
