I'm with everybody else - sounds like a wheel out of balance. Since the steering wheel isn't shaking (and you had the rear worked on recently), probably a rear wheel. Tell your mechanic/buddy to be more careful from now on.

It sounds like it's a fairly large imbalance so I'd keep speeds to a minimum (parked, if possible) until you can get it fixed.
