We can walk into the sun room and most times they won't run/fly away.They would take off if I tapped on the glass. You can sit on the deck pretty still and they will come to the feeder,
Our neighbors father is 80+ and he had a turkey tag so he sat on the deck in a comfy chair. He went out in the cold for about 10 minutes before the feeder went off and was on his way home after about 20 minutes.
