A couple thoughts.
First, it seems they interview the negative critics who then say "some of the other drivers really loved this car...it just didn't do it for me". Perhaps it makes for more reader interest when they bash a car? Watching their clips, the reviewers do it car after car. "This Mercedes was thrown together." WTF does that even mean?
The NVH issue comes up review after review. My guess is this is a quality of the car that is magnified if you drive a Porsche, an Audi R8 and then a Z all back to back. For us real world people, we just drive our Z every day and it feels nice
