The reason is because the taper for the seat is different. You will damage your lug nuts and/or wheels, but the biggest problem is that the lug nut won't be fully seated and you will eventually have the wheel come off. I've seen it at the track and it's not cool. I watched a wheel come off a car that was coming out of a fast turn... The wheel rolled/bounced off the track and over a fence onto a busy public road.

TireRack has this nice image on their site that shows the differences:
Z1 makes it clear that they are for aftermarket wheels.

So the answer is no.
