There's pretty much only one way to remove the dummy light. Pop the 4 clips out that retain the bracket behind it and take off the loctited nuts. You need to lay down and visually see the bracket, or you won't get the clips out easily.

Now for wiring it.... there are a lot of different ways depending on what you want. You can wire it at the front, or you can tap into your driver side tail light harness. There are other ways, too... check out the DIY section... picking the method is all up to you how you want it to function/what wiring you want to tap into.

I just did mine last week and wired it to the tail light harness. Wired it as a running light, and swapped the bulb with a 7443 bulb, and modified the bulb to use the dim filament so the light doesn't blind the people behind me in normal driving conditions.
