Was on a BMW forum and one poster wrote that he does not like their turbo engines with a manual trans as there is occasional turbo lag when shifting gears (rpm's drop so turbo must spool up to speed again). While with their DCT there is no lag at all with gearshifts due to ECU and quickness of shifts.
Does that make sense about the manual lag?

I have had a 135i and a 328i (with the turbo 4) and the lag is near imperceptible, though I could see how with a manual you'll notice it much more. Especially if you are the type that shifts around 2-3k rpm and then goes back somewhat heavy on the gas.
