You can keep the crash bar as is if you install the stillen SC kit, if you change the heat exchanger to this one which most of us are running -

you need to modify the crash bar (cut/flip the crash bar to make it all fit in and modify the front bar).
even though they say the kit is "bolt-on" there is still a lot of customisation that needs to be done to install the kit, main regards for this are the fuel pump install/throttle body and fuse box wiring/cutting of some small body pieces.
