I own a 2006 G35 Coupe 6MT and have test driven the 370Z 6MT & G37 6MT many times. In daily driving, they are very similar in terms of feel.

Obviously the Z is more nimble due to its shorter wheelbase & weight and should have the advantage in acceleration but its only noticeable when you push the cars to their limits.

Mechanically speaking, they are almost identical. Weight is what sets their performance differences.

The interior of the G is a lot more upscale and it makes you feel like you should in a luxury coupe. In the other hand, the Z's interior blends sportiness & quality without feeling cheap.

They are not that "very" different, but they are targeting a different market.

Do you want a GT car or a sports car?
