If your clutch isn't fully releasing even with your foot planted, the car will lurch forward or even crawl in 1st. Pedal pressure should be firm with less than 1" of play up top. It shouldn't be mushy halfway. If that's the case, you can try bleeding it.

I've been told not to overfill the gearbox either. This can cause excess pressure in the gearbox and cause it to blow seals. That's what I was told by my tech.

For a 2009 with how many miles? It doesn't hurt to switch to better clutch fluid like Motul RBF600.
