They just heated the fender and tapped at the metal to roll it inward first, then tap some more to push out just a hair if they needed a tad more clearance. The trickiest part appeared how well the push outward would flow with the arch on the front bumper...without breaking the tabs. If they ooops... Zipties...

I rolled my fender using a wooden bat and heat gun. The hardest part is the corner of the fender where it meets the bumper...trying to get it straight with the rest of the fender. Other than that, you'll have to relocate the bumper tab as well. I'd just drill a hole and use zip tie.
