Yep. Its money. The oil if synthetic can go much longer. Same motor in the Euro models sold here and its 15000 kilometer oil changes. I have a US model and follow the Euro sched. Wasting money and oil I have no time for.
Ive done UOA's on Mobil-1 etc ZERO issues for 8-10k miles.
