Oil does have an "expiration date" - the oil breaks down over time. Plus there is a good chance that you have some condensation in the engine, especially if it is stored where the temperature fluctuates. Personally, I'd change the oil/filter
before starting the car after a long storage period (> 3-4 months).
When in doubt, change it. You can't change oil/filter too often.
