If you're not familiar with
Timur's kernel & custom USB ROM, read this. I can't recommend it enough as it enables several capabilities that make a tablet work much better in car installation, particularly simultaneous charging and USB host mode. I should point out that it only compatible with Nexus 7 2012 model.
