The Stillen rep was uncertain whether or not this plate can be removed or modified to allow installation of the intake system.

Yep, there are some air flow plates in there that the non-nismo does not have. They can be removed,three rivets and a bolt per side. The Injen CAI does not interfer because it goes down into the bumper area in front of the wheel well.
