The problems with the 09 were certainly real for me. All engines are certainly not the same, as the VQ37 goes through different revisions through the manufacturing process.
I personally wouldn't purchase an 09 without a powertrain warranty. The rest of the issues aren't anything you wouldn't deal with when it comes to later years.
