My heat shields are integrated into the tubes..Powdercoated Sheet steel wrap over a Phenolic tube and 2 layers of Foil and bubble insulation.. With the fang vents, My IAT numbers look just like a G3's...........5 degrees over ambient at cruise..I can't see it getting any better than that as long as the MAF elements (which read IAT) are in the engine bay...Plus, there is less heat pick-up after the MAF's with the silicone in lieu of metal..
