the coldest day i wash my car is 35F. if it's sunny, i can do 33F, but i need to be very careful i dont slip on ice in the shade.
ofcourse, one could sprinkle salt on the driveway BEFORE washing... but who wants to track salt into the car after drying?
all in all, snowbelt states suck in the winter.
