Same here. I was living in the New Orleans area (northshore - no flooding, just wind damage) when Katrina hit. State Farm came through like a champ for everyone I know. Allstate was another story.

When you get to the point that you have a home to insure, getting a package deal from State Farm is the way to go. You get what you pay for, at least that has been my experience.

I've made a few minor claims over the years and have never had a rate increase due to that.
