You need to use something that is safe for the wheels paint think of them as just another painted surface. I recommend sonax full effect wheel cleaner or for lighter washing Chemical Guys wheel cleaner.
MAKE SURE not to use any buckets or tools to wash your wheel that you use to wash your paint! You can severely scratch your paint from the brake dust even after rinsing.
