I've seen comments in various threads about certain cars that can
outrun a Z in the 1/4 mile. So here are my conditions before I make a list:
- excludes "super cars," such as Lexus LFA, Lambos, etc.
- must have stock/base manufacturer equipment
- naturally aspirated (- i.e. no turbos)
- same year, like 2011 vs 2011 for instance
Maybe I'm leaving out some things (feel free to add more exclusions) but here's a list based on things I've seen posted:
- BMW M series (not SUV's obviously)
- Mustang GT and above (that was for my neighbor who has a Cobra)
- Porsche 911
- can't think of any non-turbo Audi's but I'm sure there are some
If we account for similarity in price (let's put the Z at 40K), I would think it would be only the Mustang GT that would take us, right? Again, I'm only talking about a
1/4 mi sprint.
I know I'm missing some cars and I'm not trying to put myself out there as a car expert...not at all. I just drive and come across certain cars and wonder "I bet I could take him." Thx.
Note: And yes, please feel free to switch in Nismo Z to represent the Z if you'd like...just to make things interesting.
