Unhappy Sunday aftermath...

I had to attend an engagement party on Sunday afternoon as the storm rolled in. None of us expected it to get this bad. My goal was to go in for a little bit and then head out, but most guests wouldn't let me leave. It was calm and rainy with some thunder, and then it started to hail big chunks without warning. The winds kicked up as everyone started taking cover inside. Then the rain, hail, and debris started moving horizontally. My ears popped at one point, and some guests said the same. We couldn't see past the garage door as if a train was traveling in front of us. Front window of the house shattered. It was chaos. There was no confirmed tornado where the storm hit us, but there was an EF1 near the airport SW of my city.

Below is some of the hail about an hour after the chaos ended. I picked up several larger ones after this photo was taken. It was definitely larger than golf ball size, but definitely packed some velocity from the winds.

Here's one of several cars with completely shattered windows:

Here's what's left of my car. What's interesting is that the driver side is almost entirely clean of welts. It's just how the car was parked on the street.
