I have something like
this that works well even in the hot Texas summers. It has both AC and DC plug for home or car use, and it even does both hot and cold. I got it for free from Office Max with a minimum purchase requirement, so it's definitely lived up to my expectations
but I don't really use this in the garage as I have a larger mini-fridge that holds much more than six beers
