See my above post where I had an mbquart mono amp mounted upside down for 7 years, and never had an issue. (even though the manual said not to mount it that way) That pic can be seen on my profile page in the album labeled "Sebring Stereo"
I also tear the tags off every mattress I buy....lol
Simple solution is this...Mount it how you like..if you have an overheat issue, reposition it.
