I wouldn't sweat 230 honestly. Oil viscosity is tested at 210 degrees. My feeling is modern synthetic oil should hold fine at 230.

I always wonder, do the 3.5 maxima, Altima and FX/M37 ever have this oil temp "problem"? I think the oil temp gauge is making us z guys a little too conscious (myself included)..

Having said all that, being a car lover, there's nothing wrong with preferring a cooler oil temp.
