Default Is it possible to re-program combo meter?

Is it possible to re-program the combination meter? Is it practical (ie, can be done with readily available tools such as UpRev or similar)? Judging by the dearth of posts about combo meters on this site and the Web, I'm guessing not, but thought I'd ask.

In particular I would like to see what gear the 7AT is in when in auto mode. Would it be possible to display current gear where it now displays M(anual) status?

It would also be nice to add different engine/body/trans variables to the Vehicle Information Display (eg, engine coolant temperature (the bar graph sucks), intake air temperature).
