I think it's easier to work with. You can get into all those "hard to reach" places and if you suck with a scissors like I do this is the way to go.
The best part for me is if i decide to get crazy like i did with my last car and do fiberglass speaker enclosures I can put this on top of it, sand it down and paint it which i cant do with the sheets. Optionally you can put the sheets down first then use the liqui-damp over the sheets then sand and paint
That should give you plenty of dampening. if not use less speakers
