To get off the original emblem I got finishing line (or dental floss) and folded it over a couple times to make it thicker. I then heated the emblem with a hairdryer for about 15 seconds. I fed the fishing line under the side of the emblem and, in a saw like motion, went back and forth with the fishing line. It peeled away the emblem very easily. You may need to heat intermittently.
