I simply had my powdercoater paint them by hand, just as he did the time attack ring and the rays eng., forged lettering, and the area outside of the center cap. Just paint the nipple, the section above the actual nut, sockets dont come in contact with that area due to them being deeper then the nut itself so it will never get sractched or flake unless you accidentially come in contact with it. Pretty easy. You can clearly see in the first picture that only the nipple is painted and the nut is not. And you would be shocked at the different colors, sheens and textures they can powdercoat in. Plus they can also powdercoat in multiple different area multiple different colors, just as you would with paint.
